Dr. Katerina Tsetsura is an accomplished teacher. Her teaching philosophy is to inspire students to learn by helping them to discover the beauty and value of knowledge in everyday professional practices. She demonstrates the importance of cutting-edge research and theory development in strategic communication and public relations through engaging students in meaningful practical exercises and activities. She creates real-life opportunities for students to work hard and see the results of their work.

As part of Dr. Tsetsura’s learning by doing approach, students in her classes work with actual small, medium, and large-size companies and organizations in the USA, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Recently, students in her courses Global Public Relations, PR Campaigns, and PR Research completed and presented projects to the top management of

In 2010, Tsetsura and her undergraduate PR Campaigns capstone class worked together with the Pulitzer-prize winner, journalist-in-residence John Schmeltzer and the Emmy recipient, war correspondent-in-residence Mike Boettcher to nationally promote a ground-breaking  journalism collaborative venture Afghan 101, in which OU undergraduate journalism students worked together with Schmeltzer, Boettcher and journalists from ABCnews.com and the ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” to create a series of civil human-interest stories behind the Afghan war.
